Notes from Tues. Nov. 27th

  1. Grade 5:  Our cake teams are formed and organized.  Soon, we’ll come up with a date on the calendar for students to bring in their part of a cake recipe that we aim to bake here.
  2. Recycling and Garbage:  The classroom recycling and garbage containers have been misused for some time (messy, food waste in wrong bins, improper recycling habits after learning how…).  If able, please talk at home about food waste responsibilities when the portable becomes a lunch room.

Notes from Tuesday

  1. Grade 4 only:  Bring in your Habitat building materials (to Mrs. Sage’s classroom)
  2. All students:  There are 4 or 5 who still need to bring in their pink permission forms for tomorrow’s “Life is a Highway” (LIAH) final taping.
  3. Blue/Yellow:  Wear full on spirit wear and “blue and yellow it up” for tomorrow’s “LIAH” taping.
  4. Student/Parent/Teacher conferences continue this week on Thursday and Friday.  Parents can email pamurphy@scdsb.on.ca if the time scheduled has been forgotten.
  5. Friday is a “P.A.” day.

Monday, November 5th

  1.  Today, the recent “rounding” test in math (both grades) went home marked.  Please sign it and have your child return it to me so I can record it.
  2. I put a link for grade 5 on the side “Blog Roll”.  It is called SCIENCE: Caramel Cake.  (It is for a “chemical changes” activity which we’ll hopefully be able to eat if we are successful.  (Grade fours…we’ll share…)
